Hi, for clinical applications which sequencer recommend (NGS), the thermo S5 or a MiSeq, with number of samples for each process of 10 to 15 samples per week for cancer, initially using commercial kits of the respective brands. Thank you
AFAIK only MiSeq DX (a special version of MiSeq) is approved for diagnostic clinical applications. I don't think S5 is approved for clinical diagnostic use. Ion PGM Dx seems to be equivalent offering on Thermo's side.
Hey juancarlosrozoanaya, your question lacks the necessary details to give recommendations. Which applications will be used? RNA-seq, targeted DNA resequencing/amplicon, exomes? Just my two cents but as you mention a clinical settings I strongly suggest you get in contact with established clinical centers to learn from their experiences and also check with your legal department which machines and kits are even certified and approved for the clinics.
