Hello everyone, I am following a tutorial of ChIP-seq analysis from YouTube and I have to use a code starting with srun,

It is indicated here

https://slurm.schedmd.com/platforms.html

that SLURM does not work with Mac OS, but is there any prebuilt package to install SLURM on Mac OS? I am on a Mac and I am having trouble installing it.

did anyway had this experience? and how did you solve it?

thank you

You can omit the SLURM bits from the tutorial and be able to run the actual unix commands on macOS. As long as you have all programs installed.

Installing a job scheduler on a local mac is probably not worth the hassle (not directly possible based on link you posted) and will not offer any additional advantage.

Yes - I agree.

I think the SLURM instructions are for a shared cluster, not an individual computer (such as your Mac).

I also think this should probably be OK as an answer, but I don't want to downplay the genomax's response that you already have.
