Our client is seeking an experienced bioinformatician for their rapidly growing business in the Cambridge area. This is a hugely exciting opportunity with a revolutionary, well-funded biotech start-up that are planning to expand and scale-up their operation imminently.
In this Bioinformatician role, you will:
- Become an integral part of an innovative and dynamic Bioinformatics team within a rapidly growing, collaborative team
- Develop therapeutic treatments using a revolutionary big data approach
- Develop algorithms and computational tools
- Analyse large and sophisticated datasets from biological samples
You’ll work alongside a dedicated cross-disciplinary team who are all striving to push the boundaries of this revolutionary technology.
The ideal candidate would be:
- PhD educated in computational biology/bioinformatics or a related discipline
- Follow on experience, either in academia or industry
- Knowledgeable with Python and R
- Experience with pipelines or data integration
- Experience in the analysis of NGS data
- Proven ability to work independently in a multi-disciplined team, and able to manage complex projects effectively
