Please use the formatting bar (especially the code option) to present your post better. You can use backticks for inline code (`text` becomes text), or select a chunk of text and use the highlighted button to format it as a code block. I've done it for you this time.
code_formatting

Also, this is a question, not a "blog". I don't understand why the "Blog" option was picked at all.

You should also show us what your perl script does exactly. Right now, you're asking us to help you debug a black box that you have full access to.

I think you need to show some effort here. Other than HELP! in the title, this seems to be a repeat of the same post from a day ago. Have you done any of the things that the error message suggested? Specifically, have you tried running it with a single thread?

It is clear that the error has to do with IDBA. Does the program exist at

/Users/christinacelispuga/Desktop/a5_miseq_macOS_20160825/bin/idba_ud

If so, is it executable? Can you run it by pasting the whole command? If yes, get a processed dataset and run IDBA on it directly - not through A5 - and see if there is an error. When you have done all these things, there should be more clarity.

By the way, most people open up posts because they need help or advice. In that sense, putting HELP! in title is definitely redundant, and it may be off-putting to some people.
