Hi, Im trying to filter, in UniProt, only the human gut bacteria proteins (or even only human bacteria proteins) but I couldn't find the way to do it. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I tried to use the query fields but it wasn't very helpful.
Not sure about uniprot, but would it work if you download Human Microbiome Project (HMP) datasets and go from there?
There is no reasonable way to limit to "human bacteria", as gut microbiota are very diverse. You can download annotations for any number of bacterial organisms. If you're trying to query using specific protein sequences, you can BLAST them against Uniprot's databases.
