Hi there,

I am looking for somewhere to run the analysis with run time of 96 hours and high memory of 800G for a short period of time.

Is there any free of charge HPC service for running this?

Any suggestion is welcome.

Many thanks,
Tom

Free HPC time is going to be hard to come by, especially with such a high memory requirement. None of the HPCs I've used support that requirement - not without NIH grants allowing special access.

You'd be better off spending a few dollars on an AWS instance.

I remember a long time ago looking into TACC and XSEDE for HPC resource but never got around to using them; not sure they have a free tier still, I remember having some free credits but never using them. However, Google Cloud Platform usually gives out $300 credits for you to try GCP, dont think AWS has any such offer. Maybe one of those would help? However I would also strongly suggest you look into ways of reducing your memory requirements, since that is going to be a large hindrance for you.

I doubt you find a free service that covers such a long walltime and that amount of memory. Just to put that into perspective, our HPC which consists of almost 500 nodes "only" has 6 nodes that could handle this job towards memory, and these are of course always booked and running. As RamRS said, you most likely have to invest some cash to get access to AWS or similar services.
