Is strand assignment by stringtie using a non stranded RNAseq data reliable?

Dear all, I am using Stringtie to reconstitute transcriptome using non stranded RNA-seq data. Can anyone tell me, strand assignment by stringtie is really reliable when we are using non stranded RNA seq data? If it can do strand assignment without stranded RNA library data, then how can it do the same? I am really curious to know.
