Does anyone have experience with custom "TruSeq-equivalent WGS library preps"?

Normal TruSeq library prep costs around somewhere between $300 to $150 per sample. Some providers offer custom "TruSeq-equivalent WGS library preps" for 48 or 96 sample plates at a cost of around $60 per sample.

Especially for small genomes (smaller than 3Gb, or even smaller than 1Gb), library prep is a big part of the cost. So it would be interesting to know if these custom protocols give equivalent results.

Does anyone have experience with these custom "TruSeq-equivalent WGS library preps"? Or know a recent review paper?
