We introduce BioTuring Big Data Portal for reanalyzing large public single-cell data sets.

The portal allows scientists to connect to BioTuring server and in real-time, explore its single-cell database of more than 6.5 million cells from more than 140 publications. Some data sets contain hundreds of thousands of cells (e.g: Tabula Muris Senis, Human Cell Landscape, etc.), with the largest one exceeding 1.3 million (Mouse Organogenesis Cell Atlas by Cao et. al, 2019).

To make high-speed analysis and real-time visualization on millions of cells possible, we have done a lot of engineering work (100X improvement in speed of gene marker finding algorithm, data compression, improvement in sparse matrix read/write, scatter plot visualization, etc.).

Supported analyses include fast marker finding, cross-studies gene expression comparison, searching for similar populations across the entire database, sub-clustering, differential expression analysis, CITE-Seq/TCR-Seq data analysis, and many more.

And during this lockdown month, the portal will be open for free for every scientist.
