Hi, I am a beginner of Bioinfo, trying to open the download workflow (.ga) and VCF (.vcf) files after finishing projects in Galaxy, but my mac always saying cannot find "application" or "Vcard". Need help here. Appreciate your advice.

Thank you for the reply; yes, .vcf file can be opened in excel file easily. .ga file is for workflow, can opened as work document, but it is not so good format as that when the workflow is shared with link. Thank you.

A vcf file is just a text-based tabular format, you can open it in any text editor or on the command line with commands such as less, head or tail. The latter is safer if the file is large. Excel would basically be an option, but you probably would need to rename it into .txt to be recognised as an accepted format. The delimiter is tab. By default your Mac interprets VCF as the format used to store contact data in your Contacts app. I am not familiar with GA, probably the same.

ga is exported galaxy workflow. OP has to import the workflow if he wants to use the ga file.
