Hi

It is first time for me to know about finding homolog gene. I would like to know if someone know how can i found the homolog gene in different organisms and how can I collect all homolog gene and compare between them?

Thanks

NCBI has already done this for you if you are looking for eukaryotic homologs. Check their homologene section out. Here is an example of BRCA2 gene. Ensembl has compara. UCSC also provides alignments of eukaryotic genomes via their vertebrate conservation genome track.

thank you so much

I am looking for prokaryotes, is it the same way?

Since there are hundreds of genomes available for prokaryotes you are likely not going to find precomputed sites like one I mentioned below.

Your best bet may be to start with the protein clusters section of NCBI. Here is an example for polA gene. For DNA sequences you can search gene section. Limit your query to bacteria by using results by taxon tree in right column (or use (polA) AND "bacteria"[porgn:__txid2] this search term).
