Hello all,

I am using Eclipse with Epic for doing perl programming. Unfortunately when I debug a program, I get some kind of errors. I found it is very uncomfortable using eclipse for perl. I think people use different editors for perl programming. Can some one recommend me a good editor for perl programming?

Thanks in advance, Prasad

Emacs. However, this thread isn't appropriate for BioStar as it is not related to bioinformatics.

At least, not as the question is written. Also, "some kind of errors" is not very informative. You need to be more specific to get helpful answers.

Hi Prasad,

I would say if you are working on windows, you can use "notepad++" You can use perl debugger to debug the code.

If you are working on unix/linux Emacs/VIM are you best bet both as editor and debugger.

I hope this helps.
