I'm trying to install IsoEM2 using the instructions in the README file, by cloning the git repository and then trying to run the install script that is in the repository. However, when I try to run the install script I get the message:

bash: isoem2/install: Permission denied

Has anyone else had this problem or know how I would be able to solve it?

Hi,

Please provide more details:

(1) The link to the software that you're trying to install;

(2) The exact command that you're using to install;

(3) Which is the operating system that you're using.

Though this seems clear to me a problem related with sudo permissions. When you're installing software, some of this can be or will be written under root folders such as /usr/local/bin, that require sudo/admin access to allow to write files there. Your problem seems to be related with that.

António
