genes popup in the volcano plots

Hi Dears,

I am just curious about genes that popup, when you use enhanced volcano plots, are they appeared in the plot randomly or based on their level of significance?

You might want to do a little research on volcano plots, the data used to plot them and x, y axis when you see a volcano plot. Also, google is surprisingly helpful. It took me to following link which explained

A volcano plot is a type of scatterplot that shows statistical significance (P value) versus magnitude of change (fold change). It enables quick visual identification of genes with large fold changes that are also statistically significant. These may be the most biologically significant genes.
