Is topology testing possible across multiple data sets with same taxa

Hi everyone,

my question is whether it is possible to do topology testing using different data sets as input. For example let's say I have a phylogeny based on nuclear loci and a phylogeny based on mitochondrial loci, both data sets share an identical taxon set and differ slightly with regards to their topology. A third, concatenated analysis combining both data sets reconstructs the same topology as the mitochondrial one. Is there a way to test whether the topology of the combined analysis is also supported by the nuclear one and vice versa or if they stricly reject one another? If I understood correctly, common topology test methods require two or more differing topologies resulting from the same input data set to work. But in my case those differing topologies are the result of different data sets. I would be grateful for any input.

Thanks in advance!
