Am i required to use S4 objects as input for singscore

Hello, I would like to run singscore on a new dataset (not from GEO or otherwise publicly available). I am using singscore version 1.8 on R version 4.0.2. I want to run an experiment very much like the examples on the vignette. I have followed the vignette and the inputs they have on the example are all S4 objects. Am I required to create these objects with my data to run singscore? Any help will much appreciated.

Have you read the manual? It seems to work with matrices, data.frames, and a number of S4 objects. Worst case, why not just try it and see? Converting to one of those other formats if it doesn't work isn't much work anyway.
