The position

We are offering a 3-year post-doc position starting immediately which will be involved in the characterization of neoantigens in a cohort of tumors associated with rare neurological syndromes (paraneoplastic syndromes). This project is in collaboration with several French teams (Lyon, Toulouse), as well as a German industrial partner. We have obtained funding within the framework of a french grant (https://www.rhu-betpsy.fr/) for a postdoctoral position for a period of 3 years in order to carry out the neoepitope analyses (integration of exome and RNA-seq, as well as the HLA type to characterize the best neo-antigens).

Embedding

This position is in the department neuro-oncology led by Prof Marc Sanson at Brain Institute (ICM), at Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital and Sorbonne University in Paris, under the supervision of Dr Agusti Alentorn, with a focus on cancer bioinformatics.

Requirements

Candidates for this position must have:

  • Ph.D. degree in cancer bioinformatics title by the start of employment.
  • Excellent programming proficiency especially in Python or R.
  • Profound knowledge of handling next-generation sequencing data.
  • Able to work with code repositories.
  • Experience with linux based HPC or cloud environments.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
