Sleuth Error in forderv/ Failed to allocate TMP or UGRP or they weren't cache line aligned: nth=12

Hi all-

I am processing RNAseq data with Kallisto/Sleuth. I am creating the sleuth object:

so <- sleuth_prep(metadata, target_mapping = ttg,
+                   aggregation_column = 'ens_gene', extra_bootstrap_summary = FALSE)

and get the following output:

reading in kallisto results
dropping unused factor levels
.......................
Error in forderv(x, by = by, sort = FALSE, retGrp = TRUE) : 
  Failed to allocate TMP or UGRP or they weren't cache line aligned: nth=12

Is this a common R issue? Any recs for how to fix?
