Dear all,

i've used a multiple sequence alignment to generate a phylogenetic tree on Mega X software with maximum parsimony method (500 bootstrap replicates). The result of this analysis is, as for Mega X visualization, a window named "Original tree" and another one names "Bootstrap consensus tree". Now, i know that the bootstrap consensus tree window should have already collapsed the weakest clades (which from my understanding means collapse a clade with less that X cutoff value, where X, by default is 50% in the software options). When i open this window, i see that there arent any collapsed clades on this cutoff value and that's why in the end i wander what's the difference between the "Original tree" and the "bootstrap consensus tree" windows.

I've alread looked up this question on the internet with no luck:

* Which Tree Is Better In Mega Output

Thanks in advance
