Question: Pilon software installation

Hi, I am a very beginner in Bioinformatics and would like to use Pilon for genome assembly. I could not find any instructions or manual for the installation. I downloaded pilon-master and extracted. I do not know what could be the next steps to install. Could you please help me in this regard?

How about using conda? It is a package manager that will take care of all dependencies when installing anything.

I would recommend you to reads the docs, everything is clearly explained there. It will save you a lot of time when installing new programs.

To install pilon:

conda install -c bioconda pilon

That will do the trick.
