Does anyone know what test or model is being used to calculate the regression coefficient in the Plink --gxe command?

I know that PLINK provides the ability to test for a difference in association with a quantitative trait between two groups by using --gxe. This test is simply based on comparing the difference between two regression coefficients. Does anyone know what exactly test here is being used to calculate the regression coefficients?

Thank you,

--gxe performs a simple linear regression for each group, and then uses the Z-statistic in equation (4) of Using the Correct Statistical Test for the Equality of Regression Coefficients to test for equality of coefficients.

Thank you for your reply, do you know under what genetic model this test used? Additive model?

Thank you!
