Hi members,

My friend has been assigned a task to model a pathway of IL6/II6R/gp30 using systems biology approach. However she needs help as to how to download the tissue expression datasets of each of these genes and what type of dataset should she be using for the same. Kindly help!!

What exactly does "model a pathway" mean? Isn't this something that you can lookup in resources like the REACTOME pathway viewer?

He is probably talking about genome scale metabolic network since that is the systems biology approach for reconstruction/modelling of pathways. You would need a lot more than just expression datasets to achieve that.
