One of method of filtering the mRNA from NanoString nCounter is:
[Mean + (2 x Standard Deviation)] of negative controls.
If I use this filtering method, I am getting around 500 mRNA out of 750 mRNA.
I used the same formula to filter miRNA of NanoString nCounter platform but I get only 70 miRNA out of 750 miRNA.
Is it not a good approach to filter miRNA the same way of mRNA filtered from NanoString nCounter ?
