Hello everyone. could any one help me to add a chain ID to my pdb file. I downloaded a pdb file of protein fro I-Tasser but the PDB file has no chain ID. PLease some may suggest a script to run on pymol or other software to solve my problem. I shall be thankful.

It seems like you already have seen this post since you left a message there. What exactly is unclear in how things are described? You have the code, why don't you try it on your file?

I am using window and tried but i did not find solution. Now i corrected by using the script in PYMOL. Thanks to this forum for sharing solving problems/issues. The PYMOL simple script to add chain ID is: select sele, chain '' alter (sele), chain='A'
