I'm new to the phylogenetic analysis and just started working with the bootstrap tests for the phylogenetic tree.
I understand that if the bootstrap value of the node is somewhat high (meaning that this percentage of replicas support the node) then it's reasonable to assume that the node is valid and can be trusted.
Can it work the other way around, i.e. is it true that invalid nodes (if present in the phylogenetic reconstruction) will have less support then valid ones?
