Is there a study about the best score function for MSA ? I didn't find any study saying which is the best score function.

There is a wealth of literature on scores for Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSC). Where are you stuck? Can you provide more context?

I want so resources for that. I couldn't find any thing related to the best score function. Just found a book saying the most widely used is weighted sum-of-pairs. But I want to see the other scores.
