Hi all, I want to apply fastqc over the raw dataset of this paper : Transcriptome genetics using second generation sequencing in a Caucasian population web link: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v464/n7289/abs/nature08903.html

I have found its fastq files here: http://jungle.unige.ch/rnaseq_CEU60/

is it enough if I only download the Fastq Data saved in the 3 files named : Fastq E-MATB-197 and apply the fastqc?

You really need to ask this directly from the authors of the paper. See the corresponding authors.

Yes, FastQC only needs the Fastq files. The data is public, so you can re-analyze it. A ~60 human samples (50GB) is a big data set, do you really want to process it? Are you benchmarking your systems?

thank you, yes i do not have any technical problem for analyzing, I want to apply the TopHat and then the cufflinks so I decided to do even the basic analysis.
