Hello, everyone,

There have been many GWAS studies published and been categorized in the page of NHGRI website.

For example, http://www.genome.gov/gwastudies/index.cfm?pageid=26525384#searchForm prostate cancer, is my research interest.

Till now, there have been more than 30 studies using GWAS method to discover the candidate bio-markers.

And as known, the dbGAP is one of the best databases to download the raw genotyping data, while not all the data of NHGRI studies have been collected and posted?

So how can I search the available data of the prostate cancer in the dbGAP, or could you plz tell me which kind of "key words" should be filled in the search blank of dbGAP

ps. I have used prostate cancer/ prostate/ prostatic as the key word while most of the NHGRI studies were not included.

Thank you!

Best

See NextBio: http://www.nextbio.com - use their curated studies tab at the top and enter your search query. You can apply filters / check attributes like GWAS studies etc. using advanced option - or you can download all and then manually select those directly relevant. for example, prostate cancer yields 154 studies many of which are GWAS studies. The good thing about query is that its not free form but pre-populated, so as you start typing prostate cancer - you will see an autopopulate menu showing SNOmed ID for prostate cancer.

If you are affiliated with an organization/university - you probably already have free access to their enterprise version - as I am no sure if studies is offered in the free version.
