How can I open .ab1 chromatogram sequencing files in ubuntu? Which software should I install? I just want to look at the chromatograms and inspect them visually, rather than analyze them in a thorough way.

Thanks. And then with the % abiview -graph cps command you can make a .ps file and see the whole chromatogram.
