Hello

I'd like to carry out a search for protein interactions using data from STRING using a long list of proteins. Does anyone know what 'a_is_acting' and 'score' mean in the 'protein.actions.detailed.v9.0.txt' ?

Does anyone have a tutorial, by any luck, for using STRING data offline?

Thanks

  1. a_is_acting describes whether there is directionality to the interaction between partners. I assume that if a_is_acting == 1, then it is item_id_a which acts on item_id_b. I'd also assume that a_is_acting == 0 means the opposite, but you should check with the developers of STRING.

  2. "score" is a composite score derived from multiple lines of evidence. You should consult the STRING publication and documentation for its precise definition.
