Pedigree Structure

Hi,

I wanted to know from a pedigree file that how many half or full sibs, how many first generation or second generation pedigree are there. Is there any programs out there which does this kind of pedigree scan without genotype data. I know I can write a script , but of checking if there is any inbuilt one already.

You might want to take a look at the GeneticsPed R package. Specifically the generation function.
