Hi,

Sorry for asking so many how-tos here, but I really want to move forward in using this data.

Is the accession number here referencing a Gene? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/geo2r/?acc=GSE43497

Image of accession numbers

How do I get from that to the gene name?

Also, what is the IDREF? It seems like it is just a run of affymetrix. This dataset should have 14 subjects * 4 time points * 2 (ctrl. vs. treatment), which is 112, but it has 190 IDREFs.

Also, when I load the dataset into r like below, how do I query a gene (column)?

library(GEOquery)
gset <- getGEO("GSE43497", GSEMatrix =TRUE)
