The Center for Computation & Technology at Louisiana State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Associate 5 that will computationally investigate patterns and properties characterizing the genomic structure and composition of humans and other primates (Orangutan, Marmoset, Gibbon, etc.). These analyses involve the combination of high-performance computing and advanced human-computer interaction (e.g., multitouch tables, tablets, and tiled displays involving tangible interfaces) with software including Galaxy and in-house codes. These efforts involve the intersection of projects engaging the NIH LBRN (Louisiana Biomedical Research Network)'s computational biology core; and the NSF Melete interactive supercomputing project.
Required Qualifications
Postdoctoral Researcher: PhD, M.D., or equivalent degree and experience in computation genomics.
Research Associate 5: M.S. with substantial academic, medical, and/or industry experience specifically with computational genomics.
