Hello

I have base pair position and marker identifier and would like to get the position on the genetic map (cM). I tried to do this with an R package called crypticIBDcheck but the installation failed. Do you know of any other way that interpolates automatically without me having to upload them manually to the Rutgers map?

any suggestions welcome

In what way did the installation of crypticIBDcheck fail? What was the error message?

Hi, I faced a similar task last year...

  • downloaded genetic recombination maps from Hapmap (link)

  • then It was quite easy to import them into a database (mysql in my case, but even access do the work well)

  • query the table by position
