Dear All,

I am having trouble with generating the assemble.sh file for MaSuRCA genome assembler. Here is the error been generated and hopefully there is someone who has used it before because i think it is one of the newer assembly tools. Error : creating script file for the actions...chmod: cannot access `assemble.sh': No such file or directory done. execute assemble.sh to run the assembly

I will also say pardon my linux skills. been awhile so am trying to get on par with it again. but I have tried quite a lot of solutions.

Thank you Isaac

What version are you using? Looking at their page, they recently released 2.0.3.1 to fix some compilation issues, maybe you are running into these.

Have you installed the software by > cd MaSuRCA-2.0.4/

./install.sh

Can you find a new file called sr_config_example.txt? if yes,

cp sr_config_example.txt my_config.txt

then edit my_config.txt with your full path to your input files name, parameters, etc. please double-check the file path, names etc are correct, otherwise the script 'assemble.sh' will not be generated.
