We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst for our Client that has a next generation sequencing laboratory in Northern NJ.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis and interpretation of sequencing data from clinical patients
  • Management of bioinformatics and work-flow processes
  • Assisting in scaling up of the next gen aboratoory
  • Implementation of improvements to laboratory operations

The successful candidate must have a PhD with a molecular genetics background, plus 2 years of relevant work experience. Previous experience in a CLIA-certified lab is preferred but not necessary. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications & experience. Our Client offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, as well as life and disability insurance.

Requirements

Master’s Degree or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field plus 2-3 years of relevant experience. - Knowledge in Human Genetics and Bioinformatics - Familiarity with human mutation databases, genome browsers, literature searches, data reviews, and HGVS nomenclature. = Expertise in sequencing data analysis (capillary and Next Generation) and PCR primer design.
