Hi, have you uesd the software of 'Domain temas' which identifies the microsyntenies of domains in genomes? This tool was developed by Sophie Pasek and his teams in their work published in 2005(Identification of genomic features using microsyntenies of domains: Domain teams). I want to use this software in my work, but the download page doesn't exist anymore. And it is hard for me to de novo write the codes. Does anyone have the copy of this software? if do, can you send a copy of them to me? and I will appreciate your help very much! My email:yd2011start@gmail.com
Try to contact all the authors first and ask them if they are willing to give you the abandoned source code under a free open-source license such that you can post the code on github, etc. Otherwise, if one could get via private channels without license, I would be very reluctant to use the software because everyone trying to reproduce your work will face the same problem. For me, this is a clear k.o. criterium.
Thank you for your suggestion. I emailed to some authors, but don't get any reply. Now I will try to find other authors' email information and send email to ask for a copy of the software.
