Hi,

Is there any ways that could identify if a contig.fa file comes from IBDA or spade? The header of the file looks like this:

contig.fa file header

Thanks in advance for any helps!

This probably is not a fool-proof way of identifying the origin of the assembler, as the output may have been modified afterwards, but this seems to be from IDBA, as it doesn't match the output from SPAdes:

>NODE_1_length_243990_cov_120.333010

Obviously, the proper way would be to ask the person who performed the analysis.

Thanks so much! I have been looking around for the example header of outputs from these two softwares but no luck, glad you post this! The person who performed this analysis has left and could not remember which software she used, that's where does this question come from. Anyways thanks so much for this!
