Hi, When I used the Gencode annotation file, I found that there were some lncRNA with the tag mRNA_start_NF. Does it mean that the lncRNA transcript was not complete? for example, transcript_type=lncRNA and tag=mRNA_start_NF

chr1 HAVANA transcript 784370 784759 . + . ID=ENST00000585826.1;Parent=ENSG00000237491.10;gene_id=ENSG00000237491.10;transcript_id=ENST00000585826.1;gene_type=lncRNA;gene_name=LINC01409;transcript_type=lncRNA;transcript_name=LINC01409-208;level=2;transcript_support_level=NA;hgnc_id=HGNC:50701;tag=mRNA_start_NF,RNA_Seq_supported_only;havana_gene=OTTHUMG00000002404.21;

Does anyone known the meaning? Thank you.

It means the mRNA end could not be confirmed, see documentation.
