I have one cell sample without treatment, a Sample with treatment A and Sample with treatment B. Is the result reliable to be published in a journal with an impact factor of over 4? The other two methods for the project have been repeated 3 times.

Please guide.

Thanks,
Layli

This question is not specific enough to be answerable. We don't know what the project is, we don't know how the other methods relate to the unreplicated experiment you describe, we don't know why or if someone would choose to do an experiment without replication (i.e. choice vs. physical limitation), we don't know the subject or relevance of the work. And most specifically, one can't know if a result is reliable without replication. One way to learn the answers you're looking for, would be to submit a manuscript and ask reviewers.
