I have build a phylogenetic tree using ClustalW. I know how to read the phylogenetic tree output, but how can I exactly know which sequence is the father sequence?
From the image I know that sequence QWU05508.1 is the most distantly related sequence. But will I be wrong if I assume that sequence UAC16107.1 is the father sequence of QWU05508.1? I undersatnd that the common node for both the sequences is the father for both, but if that is the case then how can I find the sequence of that father?
