I'm retrieving genes IDs by organism for a KEGG-related tool I'm working on and noticed that some genes have multiple entries. For example, the entry for CBS in Homo sapiens here has ID hsa:875, but there's also an entry here with the ID hsa:102724560.

Why is this, and are these effectively identical?

Also, I found an entry here for NRAS which also lists "KRAS" as a name. Is this entry for both genes?

I found this entry which appears to be the correct one for KRAS, but it's strange that the entry above also lists "KRAS" in the names. It's also the one that comes up first when I search KRAS with the keggFind function of the KEGG REST API, so I'm nervous that when I query gene IDs by organism in my code I might not get the right entry. I'm just using the R function like: keggFind(organismcode, genename)

Thanks for any clarification on this, or guidance on how to properly query the IDs for genes by organism.
