No module named 'msprime'

Hello everyone! I have to include in an assignement the library 'msprime' but vscode shows the message : No module named 'msprime' . I tried 'pip install msprime' and then shows : "Failed building wheel for msprime" , "Could not build wheels for msprime, which is required to install pyproject.toml-based projects"

Any suggestions ??

check your default interpreter version. Have you tried conda install -yc conda-forge msprime? which OS are you using?

Thank you very much for the response. I tried and shows me : The following packages will be UPDATED:

conda pkgs/main::conda-4.13.0-py38haa95532_0 --> conda-forge::conda-4.13.0-py38haa244fe_1

when I run it still shows me : No module named 'msprime'
