Beta-value versus M-value for DMR

Hi,

So there are posts saying using the m-value is ideal statistically but beta values are for biological interpretation. This workflow says use m value then use beta value to find technical errors, and also use beta value for visualisation using the p values from m value comparison. So my question is, what is the point of m value comparison if i still have to use beta value to validate m value and also visualize? My goal is to find diff methylated regions.

Yeah, I read this article previously, together with some workflows, i think i will resolve to use M-values but use the Beta values for the mdsplot. Thanks
