Hi, I recently generated a vcf file, which includes one pair of grandparents (two different species), several parents(hybrids derived from grandparents of two different species), and large number of f2 (interbreeding of F1s).
But the parents of F2s are unknown, need to be inferred from the genotypes.
Is it a question of parental genetic analysis or pedigree analysis? I looked at some R related packages, something like this, does not look exactly like what i am looking for. I searched the questions in this forum that have been asked before, there is a very related What Genetic Marker To Use To Infer Pedigree From Sequencing Data?, but i have not invest significant amount of time in it.
Could you help to distinguish between pedigree analysis and parentage analysis? what is the most directly related tool for type of work that i wanted to do?
