I'm hoping to find a comprehensive list of genes that code for cell surface receptors. There is a related post that links to prediction algorithms, but I'd just like to identify genes that already have this annotation. I'm currently grabbing genes on Ensembl that have the word "receptor" in the description but this also means removing many terms like "receptor overlapping transcript", "non-receptor", "receptor kinase", etc. and I feel like there has to be a better way.
Thanks in advance for the help!
UniProt is pretty useful for this. I would typically combine "transmembrane" "receptor" and "human" to get a list of human proteins that are transmembrane receptors:

This is helpful, thanks!
