Hi everyone. I have got an mRNA sequence and I wish to know where is the:

  1. Ribosome Binding Site
  2. Alternative Start Site
  3. Promoter Sequence.

Tough to help you without knowing whether we are talking prokaryotes or eukaryotes here. Here is a guideline to RBS in both:

The idea is to first find a start codon, and RBS is usually not too far upstream. The same is true for alternative start sites, if there are any.

Promoters are not transcribed - they provide signals that drive transcription. There will be no promoters in mRNA sequences.

The title is is completely non-informative. Maybe something like How to find ribosome binding sites? would be more appropriate?
