Dear members of the forum,

I am conducting an in silico study on vertebrate animals genomic data, in one of the steps I would have to predict mature microRNAs from their precursors. Despite attempting to use the tool maturebayes, I have been unable to get its code to function properly. Additionally, I am unable to utilize the tool mirdeep2 for this purpose, as I'm not working with deep sequencing. Therefore, I am seeking suggestions for tools that can provide similar functionality.

Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.

MatureBayes is a software tool that relies on both a sequence file and a structure file for its proper operation. To generate the structure file, users are instructed to use an alternative form of the ViennaRNA package (1.6 version), which was developed by the creators of MatureBayes from what I've come to understand. Unfortunately, several errors appeared when we tried to install the ViennaRNA file. This post How to get the structure file for maturebayes? shows an example of the usual RNAfold output file and the structure file that MatureBayes needs in order to properly work.
