just like A: How to get a dbSNP data from java? but using the Esearch DTD:

$ xjc   -dtd  "http://eutils.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/eutils/dtd/20060628/esearch.dtd"
parsing a schema...
compiling a schema...
generated/Count.java
generated/ERROR.java
generated/ESearchResult.java
generated/ErrorList.java
generated/FieldNotFound.java
generated/Id.java
generated/IdList.java
generated/OP.java
generated/ObjectFactory.java
generated/OutputMessage.java
generated/PhraseIgnored.java
generated/PhraseNotFound.java

generated/RetMax.java
generated/RetStart.java
generated/TermSet.java
generated/Translation.java
generated/TranslationSet.java
generated/TranslationStack.java

or use a SAX Parser, or a StaX parser etc...
