I've looking into using the circos plots that have recently become quite popular as I gather. If I understand correctly, it can be used whenever there is a one-to-one relationship between different types of data, e.g. that "this" genomic region corresponds to "this" mRNA and to "this" protein being translated and to "this" copy number aberration, etc.

I have quite little experience working with proteomic data and have been asked whether it would be possible to use the circos plot to integrate gene expression data (microarray) with data from Orbitrap and Kinexus proteomics. Is anyone here familiar with these that would be able to help me answer this?

Thanks!

If you can format it Circos can plot it. The answer is yes, but the formatting is the trick.
